P365 Year in Review Freebie

Well believe it or not folks I finally have that "Cozy Christmas Add On" preview for our "Cozy Christmas Challenge"! Don't worry you still have plenty of time to get those LO's in! Challenge runs until January 15!

The main kit was primarily gold accents and the Add On is mostly Silver accents.

There are 6 papers and 20 elements but not all items are shown and the drop shadows are for the preview only.
Instead of doing a cover page for our Project 365 when just about any template that suits your fancy will work, I figured why not a year in review page! You know the high light of each month. Anyway you get the drift.

Wow have we got a lot to catch up on today! As you know from my last post we had a nasty winter storm come blowing through for Christmas. The worst of it was on Christmas eve and Christmas morning. over the coarse of 4 days we got a total of 19" of the fluffy stuff. Some of it was not all that fluffy and light. I went out and shoveled after every couple of inches knowing it would take forever and be a real back killer to do it all at the end.

The Dig Out begins~

4 pm Christmas Day.

They came out with the loader and cleared a single path down our street for emergency vehicles only since the city was under a no travel ban.

Saturday we were able to get the truck dug out. The kids and I headed over to grandpa's to dig him out. His old snow blower was not able to throw the snow up high enough. I had to hand scoop the 4' tall by 4' wide ridge the plows had pushed up at the end of his drive way. That did my back in! I spent the rest of the day with a heating pad on my back.

Sunday we were finally able to get together and celebrate our Christmas.

I love this photo of my Grandpa (kids great grandpa).
I think it is the only one of him laughing and he does that very rarely these days.
He and I have been on a mission to find a 6.5" square frying pan for years to replace one that had finally worn out for him. After years of not being able to find one this year I did! I bought it wrapped it and then received a call from him saying that he had found one while out Christmas shopping! I decided to still give it to him. When he opened it that day he laughed till his sides hurt! Now he has two and hopefully they won't wear out so fast for him!

I know I promised you all that Preview of the Cozy Christmas Challenge Add On. But as you can see I am running a few days late on just about everything. I spent all of Monday with the heating pad on my back. The carpal tunnel also had to rear it's ugly little face while shoveling.

The aches and pains are beginning to fade, so hopefully I will get that preview up for you yet to day.

Double Template #60 Freebie

Did everyone have a good Christmas? Hope you were all safe and sound where ever you live. We have gotten 16 inches on snow so far and expect another 5-7 inches by morning! For the month we have had two and a half feet of snow making this a potential record breaking month here in the Midwest. I have not seen snow like this since I was a child. Since we postponed our Christmas festivities I went out 4 different times and shoveled just to make it easier on my back in the end. Two or so inches at a time is a lot easier then 15+ at once! Tomorrow we get to go dig Grandpa out. He has four wheel drive and could get around town alright but the plows have pushed a 5 foot ice ridge across the foot of his driveway. A little salt, a shovel and a whole lot of "get er done" attitude and we will celebrate Christmas yet! The kids don't appear to mind the change of plans. They are still up playing the Wii even the little one is still up.

On a Happy Note...
Our Neighbors son got engaged over the holiday. She is from Brazil and has never seen snow before. She picked a heck of a year to fly in and visit for Christmas! She will return to Brazil after the first of the year to finish her final term of school and then she will come back here for the wedding and as I understand they will be living here. She must like the snow! Congratulations to the two of them!

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas Everyone!

We defiantly got our white Christmas. 12 inches in the last 36 hours and we are expecting another 1-2 inches an hour through out today. We have postponed our family Christmas until Sunday. The interstates were shut down last night and the City has officially announced that travel within the city is not allowed and any non emergency vehicles will be ticketed. The plows can't keep up and only emergency routes will be kept open.

Santa made it safely and the kids were all thrilled with what he brought. We also gave them the Wii and explained that it was a combo gift to all of them from Jama, Grandpa Tim, us and Santa had to chip in some and help us out with it. I had divided all the games, controls and extras we got for it into two boxes, that way I had a total of three gifts, one for each child to open.

I also received my gift. I actually got it a couple of days ago and have been studying the book so I could use it properly this morning. A new camera! Pictures to come tonight when I'm back with our Double Template Friday freebie!

Project 365 Week 52 Template Freebie

Wow!
Can you believe we are in the final week of Project 365! Our final week of the year actually has one extra day in it. Do the math.... 7 days x 52 weeks does not = 365. Any way ..
I hope you have had as much fun using these as I have had making them all for you all! Next Wednesday I will have a special surprise for you that works very well with this past years Project 365! Don't worry though I will be continuing the Project 365 next year! However since the first of the year is on a Friday this year the new weekly templates will go up on Thursday nights instead of our current Wednesdays. Don't forget to stop back and get special gift next Wednesday night!

I also have a couple of LO's to share but I have not had time to get them ready for tonight's posting. We have been very busy with orchestra concert's, basketball and lot's of baking and cleaning. I have cookies in the oven as I type this! Last night I finally sat down and wrapped everything. Wrapped and tagged but no bows or ribbons yet. It took me four hours to get that much done and I was falling asleep on my feet. The kids are officially on Christmas break as of today so I had to get them wrapped before someone found something hidden away!

We will definitely be having a white Christmas this year. We are under blizzard warnings and are expecting 20+ inches of snow. The last storm we had this bad was 1968. We had to cancel our plans of visiting out of town family on Christmas Eve, and we sat the kids down and explained what we would do if it snowed to much for Great Grandpa to get here. Santa will be here as always, for him the more snow the better! and what they don't know but we do is that they are getting a Wii! That alone should be enough to satisfy them until we can all dig out Saturday or Sunday and then we will have our big Christmas dinner and open all the rest of the presents when we can be together. The snow is supposed to let up some time on Saturday.

Today was our youngest first day of school!

My baby is no longer a baby!

She marched right into the school like she owned the place! Daddy and I took her to school so I could have the necessary first day photos and she was more then happy to pose for me. When it was time for us to go she blew us each a kiss and waved good bye with a big grin on her face. Half way down the hall she called out " Meet you at the bus stop mom!" Yep she rode the school bus home and tomorrow she will begin riding it to school.

Template #224 ~ Tonights Freebie!

Wow have I been in the get it done mode this past week. I have scrapped 30 some odd Brag Book pages, 4 calenders and hand made some new Christmas ornaments to give out as Christmas gifts. The ornaments about did my fingers in. Needle prick after needle prick. I wish I could use a thimble but they drive me batty! I still need to do two covers and 8 more pages!

The School Lo and this next one are both Brag book pages that will be included in my albums this year. I originally did them in Landscape but before I merged them I adjusted the elements and such so that when reduced to the 4x6 nothing would be cut off. I saved these and most of the other pages in both the landscape size and brag size.

This next LO I put together last night. I'm a bit behind on my scrapping! This was actually back in October just a few days before the little ones third birthday. She needed two shots to keep updated and she never shed a tear!

It's a very good morning here! The migraine I had been fighting for the last 3+ days has finally gone away!

We did good with our black Friday sales! All we have left to do is shop for the teen and for Grandpa. There is two stores that I have to be up and early for shopping on Saturday. I hope I never have to partake in this madness again! I do not find crowds or shopping in general to be enjoyable.

Project 365 Week 48 Template Freebie

Evening All!

It has been a very busy day here. We totally cleaned house! Other then the obvious hole in the built in where Cisco's (our pet rat) cage will be, there is no signs of a construction zone anywhere! The little one helped me bake an apple pie this afternoon. She had fun stirring the sliced apples into the other ingredients and then layering them in the crust for me. The boy helped with the pumpkin pie and the oldest helped this evening with the Ginger Snap cookies. While the pies had there turn in the oven I snuck in a few minutes of designing. Look for the White Sox Fan Kit in the next few days!

Tomorrow it will be up and at em early! Going shopping for those Thanksgiving deals! The kids will be going home with grandpa after our family dinner so that my boyfriend and I can hit the Black Friday sales. Saturday will also bring another early morning shopping spree!

Yankees World Series Add On Freebie!

Howdy!

Last night after I posted I worked on my latest Private Kit and managed to finish that up and while I was waiting for it to upload I started in on your Yankees World Series Add On. I was on a roll with it and stayed up till 2 am!

I awoke this morning with a nasty headache. After I got everyone off to school and the little one settled in with an old home movie, I took a couple of aspirin and laid back down for half an hour. When I got up again it was completely gone! Today turned out to be very productive! The little one spent most of the morning sitting with me at the computer desk. She practiced her letters and we read stories while I was waiting for actions to run. After lunch she laid down and watched a movie while I finished up today's freebie!

Once again we roll around to Monday and the start of another week! Hope yours was a good one. Mine had it's ups and downs. Service engine soon light came on in the van/downer, but got a couple of Christmas deals on some gifts today/upper!

I'm finding I'm having a hard time getting into the holiday spirit this year. Even more so then last year. I know it has more to do with fiances then anything else. Oh don't get me wrong, Christmas will happen, just a little thinner then last years tightening of the belt. If it weren't for the recent vandalism on one of our properties and the stolen laptop... well those two happening so close to Christmas hit us hard. Sorry I'm being such a Scrooch! Does anyone know of some good family friendly holiday music that might help lift my spirits? As the saying goes" When Mom ain't happy ain't nobody happy!" I don't want one of those kinds of Holiday Seasons! I want the Happy one! I'm hosting both holidays for my family again this year!
