Project 365 Week 39 ~ Freebie

Evening all!

No more sick bugs! The kids are all back in school as of today! Yippee!

I feel so out of the loop in the scrapping world! I can't wait to sit down with my coffee in the morning and do some catching up with a few of my favorite blogs. Hopefully I'll find some inspiration because that sure has been lacking the last couple of weeks for me. I didn't even get tonight's Template done until just a few minutes ago, which also means that for those of you who use the PSP files, will need to stop over to Michele's Blog and pick those up in the next day or so.

I have had a few questions and comments on the Fan Kits and people wanting to know when the kits will be done. Yes I know some of them were requested last spring, yes they are on my to do list. I just have not had the time yet to get back to them. I will be trying to get to them soon! I Promise!

Appalachian State Fan Kit ~ Freebie

Morning Everyone!

I have the Appalachian State Fan Kit ready for you! I couldn't sleep last night, must have been too much sleep the night before! So instead of sleeping I worked on the private kit I'm working on and put the preview together for this one. I also managed to get all the laundry washed and dried. I still need to fold it and do the breakfast dishes. Also did the grocery shopping this morning and got that all put away. Might as well do my inside stuff while it's to wet to do things outside!

Rained all night and we have freeze warnings for tonight. Going to have to protect the gardens! Yep a couple of clients called and wanted to know how to protect such large areas from the frost. No problem! Just heat some river rocks and place them next to the plants, tip a bucket or rose cone over that to keep the heat in next to the plant. If it's windy place a rock on top to keep the bucket/rose cone from blowing away. So this evening I have three to go around to and cover for people along with our own. I save all the ice cream buckets I can get my hands on, they are such useful things! I'll have to break out the 5 gallon buckets for my new decorative grasses that I just got planted this week.

I hate spring just as much as I love it some years!

P365 Week 19 Template ~ Freebie

Morning everyone!

I know I committed an oops last night, I should have been blogging but instead I figured I'd watch a little TV with the kids until they went to bed. Well I ended up falling asleep! Oops, sure felt good but there are so many things I should have been doing instead. Sorry all.

First off today I would like to share with you the wonderful gifts I received from Egypt over the weekend. As the journaling says I made a private request kit awhile back for a wonderful lady who, in return, sent me and the kids these wonderful items! I know the pictures themselves are a bit yellowish but the Stone is White Egyptian Marble and it really is snow white! These are such a priceless treasure for us! Thank you so very very much!

I worked on the above Double, Tuesday morning while I chatted with my good friend Michele and then Tuesday evening I worked on this next one. I created the pieces for this one as I went.

It has been very windy here for the last week or so and it just tires a person out fighting it all the time. Wednesday was the worst so I decided enough was enough and took the day off. It's nice working for yourself some times. So instead I spent a large part of the day working on a private request kit. And a little time gathering stuff up for my rummage sale next weekend. I can't wait to be rid of all the baby gear that we have stored away! I also have a Blog Fan Kit almost ready to go, I just need to finish up the preview. I'll be posting that in the next day or two.

Evening All
Hope you all had a good weekend.
The Circus was a hit! For going to the 7 pm performance the little one did pretty good and only fell asleep for the last 20 min of the show. No matter how much we tried we just could not get her to nap Saturday afternoon. Her favorite parts were the animals, as to the boy he liked the tigers and motorcycle high wire act. The oldest well she says she liked going but the only time she cracked a grin was for a couple of pictures and one clown act. We all loved the clown act! He had three stuffed animals that he would wind up and then call them to him. The first two would not work at all but the third one turned out to be a small shih tzu dog crammed into an elephant stuffed animal costume. Cute as all get out. Farting baby powder out and going completely limp like a really well loved stuffed animal. When he finally popped out of the costume it was a hilarious!

Been another rainy icky day here. The decorative brackets I was working on have been pushed to next Monday for installation. The weather is not cooperating for installation yet alone painting them. But I finally got some time to work on some of those fan kits! Look for a new one tomorrow!
We also have some Fantastic Layouts to share tonight! This makes for a total of 16 so far! Keep them coming the more the merrier and the more gifts you all will receive! Please remember to include the credits with your LO's. I would really love to be able to give the designers of these fabulous kits the credit they deserve!

Morning everyone!

It's another rainy day here which makes for a perfect excuse to get some computer work done.

I have some more awesome layouts to share today but first we need to take care of some business.

With summer upon us and school starting to let out I just don't have the time I need to keep up with everything. As a result the Blog Fan Kits have fallen behind and so have the Double Templates. No new Blog Fan Kit requests will be started on until September. Over the summer I will slowly work on the ones that are already listed.

Also the Private Request (High School) Kits are being put on hold until school starts back up in August. Don't worry I will still finish the ones on my to do list! You know who you are :)

The Plan over the summer is to finish all the Fan Kits already requested and work the Double Templates back into the schedule on a regular basis.

Also you may have noticed that I have added April Gift 2, to the side bar so that you all can see what you will be receiving! I also need to make another Template which in turn means that later today you will find April Gift 3 listed on the right! Yep we have gotten 11 layouts so far! Keep them coming! We will run with this until midnight (central time) on the last day of April! But that also means that the gifts will be a couple of days late going out. I don't have the "Gifts " made up ahead of time. I'm making them as you folks send in the layouts!

Good morning!
Hope you all had a good weekend!
Ours was a bit on the crazy side of things. Nothing terrible bad just constant running around with our heads cut off. Classic for us! hehe! It all started with a receipt that my Dad needed on Friday. He is a truck driver so I had to wait for him to call then fax it to where he was. Had to keep my phone on me all day. I dislike feeling like I'm tied to my phone. He was also going to be passing through town late Friday night. Another reason to keep the phone handy. But the drama really started at dinner time. He had called at 4 saying in about an hour he would be calling and for me to be ready. So I delayed starting dinner and waited, and waited and waited some more. At a quarter to six the kids were beginning to complain about dinner time so I called him. He didn't need me to fax the receipt but he didn't bother calling me to say so! I finally got dinner going and just as we were finishing up Grandpa calls. The oldest and him had gone to Taco Bell for dinner and his pickup would not start. They were stuck. So I loaded up the youngsters and grabbed the jumper cables and a phone book just in case. (My phone don't have all the web goodies.) So we pull in and he just wants to call the tow truck, wouldn't even let me try jump starting it. He said he had power but the starter was acting like it had a flat spot. So the kids got a lesson in tow trucks and how to tow things properly. They loved it! It's been 15 years since I drove tow trucks for a living. The oldest don't even remember me doing it she was so little. Got the truck back to grandpa's and the tow driver was kind enough to put it in the driveway for us to work on it. After that was done the younger ones and I headed home to have our strawberry short cake! My Dad called at 10 pm so I headed up to see him for a few minutes at the truck stop. (3 blocks from my house). He runs hard, South of Miami Florida last Wednesday to Seattle Washington yesterday. One end of the country to the other. He loves to drive but the company he is with is screwing him over big time! When I'm done straightening out his books he is going to get an attorney to fight this company. I'll be naming names once the attorney is hired!

Spent the weekend working on Grandpa's pickup trying to figure it out. Had to take the tire off to get to the starter but after my Dad calling and giving us a few ideas on what to test we finally discovered that the battery has a censor eye on it and it was not registering the way it should have. Monday we finally got the thing to start and I had him bring it to the auto parts store near my place. O'Reillys is awesome for testing your charging and starting systems! The shop manager about had a heart attack when he heard the truck was a 2002 and only had 40,000 miles on it. He was even more shocked to find that the battery in it was the original one from the factory! The mechanic said the truck should last grandpa a very long time at this rate! Thanks Tom! See I told you I would blog about you and your store!

But now that the new week is here it is time to get some scrapping done!
We have 5 layouts to share today and that also means that I throw in an extra template for this months gift! Remember for every 5 layouts that are submitted this month I will add on a template to our April gift!

Y-Ball Fan Kit Freebie

Good afternoon everyone!
Wow has the weekend flown by!
I did manage to do another layout this morning using Fridays Freebie Double Template # 62 but in order to do it I had to make another Fan Kit! This one is a very basic black and white kit for my sons Y-Ball League. Every team had black and white reversible jerseys this year so home was black and the visitor was white. We don't have home locations, the teams just travel around to the local elementary school gyms for the games and practices.

I left out the "Bulldog" items but there are some "Plates" with things like; Score, Team Work etc. on them. (The basketball is not included.) It's a stripped down black and white only Kit that should work for any team that has black and white for colors, or blend it in with your favorite Fan Kit for extra options! Three items do say "Y-Ball" on them. You can see one of them in the preview below.

Ravens Fans....Help Please

Ok I know this is going to sound dumb..... Just remember I'm not a football follower..
Exactly what color is the Ravens? The blue/purple is what I'm referring to. On the Ravens web site half the stuff looks purple and the other half looks blue but the website is done in purples...
I'm leaning towards the purples...

Sorry I'm clueless on this one. But I want to make sure it is right.

The "to do" list that I refer to from time to time is also on the same post as the previews just scroll down. It's a hefty list at the time being. Not every Fan Kit that I have done is listed. The "to do list" only has the ones since this past October listed. BUT there is a ton more kits! Please check the download link, you will find 4 pages of downloads to sort through to find your team(s).

As a heads up, the order that the "to do" list is in does not necessarily mean that the kits will become available in that order. At any given time I am working on 3-4 kits. I jump from kit to kit when I get feed up with a color and come back to it later.

Also tonight I hate to say it but I need to put the brakes on the Private Request Kits already for the month. In 4 days I have received 5 requests already! I would like to pace myself at one private kit a week so that I have some time to work on templates and Non Fan Kits. Besides the mini breaks keep me sane when I do so many of the same theme.

Don't Bother.....and other news

Don't bother clicking an add unless you want to pay Google with your clicks. Google AdSense is refusing to allow me to remove the adds from the blog although Google has disabled them and I no longer receive anything for having them on the blog. I have gone round and round with Google AdSense on this one and they can't give me an appropriate answer. I used to think Google was a decent company but I am defiantly having my doubts about any product or service they provide. If this does not resolve itself soon, I will no longer be using ANY Google product or service. What I have learned in the last week and a half is that Google is turning into a bully and trying to work with them is a waste of time. The Customer Service sucks and the Help Center is a complete joke in and of itself.

The blog will also be moving in the near future so be on the look out for that news!

I will be moving off the blog sites and into a regular website. This should help with organization and I'll be hosting my own downloads!

~

I hope your week has been better then mine! I messed up with the Basketball schedule and we had another game Tuesday night. A make up game from earlier in the season. Then starting this Monday we have tournaments! Single elimination so I don't know how long we will be in it. We only won 3 games this year. But then again, last year we never won a game until playoffs and then we won the whole shebang!

Music wise, the oldest had a contest this past Tuesday and on the 23 she is participating in an all city music competition. Come April all three kids will be having music performances just about every week!

~

Well I think that's about it for now, I wanted to warn you guys about the pointless adds and let you know that another Fan Kit will either be up late today or right away in the morning.

U of North Carolina Fan Kit Freebie

Oh what a month! Are you ready for the last week of February? I know I am! I can't wait for march to come and we start warming up and finally heading toward spring!
You folks must be having just as busy a month as I have been having! Comments are down and reader submitted Layouts are few and far between this month. With this posting I have given out just as many freebies as January and we still have a week to go with a guarantee of two more freebies yet to come (with maybe a fan kit or two mixed in)!

I know I have not been chatty or anything this month. Just very busy cranking out the kits! I've done 6 private ones plus everything you have been getting on the blog. There's been lots of late, late nights and a lot of coffee drinking! I still need to scrap my photos from last summer at the Rockies game.

Activities with the kids will finally slow down come March. The boys last Basketball game is the first week of march and then it will be all music performances and practices. Speaking of music, I got a bit of sticker shock over the weekend. The boy had his D string break on his Cello last week so we went to get a new one Saturday. That one string cost more then a whole set does for a violin! I knew it would be more then a single violin string but I had no idea it would be that much more! He wants to switch to band next year, wonder what those repair bills etc are going to cost? He has no idea which instrument he wants to play, and I have no idea of how to go about helping him decide. How did you help your kids decide what instrument they were going to play, or did they just know what they wanted to play?
