Double Landscape Template Sample

What's up Doc?
Yep, it's Saturday morning cartoons around here!
I hope you are all staying warm today. It is 3 degrees with a -20 windchill here. We received about an inch of snow over night but the wind has scoured most of my yard bare of the snow. The grass is very ugly this time of year!

The boy was supposed to have a basketball game today at 11 but they cancelled all games for today. They made the call late yesterday afternoon based on the weather forecast for today. The only bad part about it is we were supposed to get the team pictures back today.

I would like to thank Everyone who has left comments. This morning I went back and read every single comment that I have received since November first!

Sheila - Thank you so very much for your email and comments. I truly do not deserve that much praise. From what you have told me, you deserve all the credit! You are a very strong person who can do anything you put your mind to! I wish you and your family the very best this holiday season!

Michele - Are you ready for tomorrow?
I still need your TOU, pretty please.

Juli - I would love to see your layouts! You can find my email in the "About me" section on the right side of the blog. If you don't mind sharing them on the blog please include credits including any fonts. If you would rather not share them on the blog and only with me you don't have to worry about the credits.
Thank you, I look forward to hearing from you!

Now I have a question for you Landscape scrappers.

I have never printed a landscape book or even any of the landscape layouts I have done so I am depending on your input on this.

Would you use double layouts? If so in which format?

I have come up with three versions. A side by side landscape, side by side portrait, or top and bottom landscape to see what I mean have a look at the image below. You can either leave a comment here on the blog or take the poll on the right side of the blog. Your input will determine what I do.

I know that double 12 by 12's are almost always a hit but I don't want to leave my good friends that do Landscapes left out. Besides I am starting to like the Landscape format myself. There a heck of a lot cheaper to print and I can get them printed locally instead of using an online print service.

Here is a freebie sample Top and Bottom Double Landscape Template.

Weather you download or not I would really appreciate your thoughts on it.
Remember hot linking is not allowed.
Please share the Blog with your family and friends Not the individual files.

Thanks Everyone and Have a Great Day!

Double Portrait Template # 3

Hey folks, Whats Up?

It's been a busy busy day around here, but I feel like I didn't get anything done. No, really, I didn't! I accomplished dishes, grocery shopping, and one load of laundry. Ok, so I got a couple of things done but it really don't feel like it.

This day has been so chopped up to me. The oldest had to be to school early but the boy was supposed to meet the bus at the same time. Two places at once, hmmm. By gosh and by golly we made it to the boys bus stop after dropping the oldest off with about 20 seconds to spare! Came home made eggys for the little one. That's what she calls them. Then we went back out to try and finish Christmas shopping and get grocery's. All accomplished and home by 9am. At noon had to go get the oldest( school times on test days suck). Back home. The boy calls at 2:55 missed the bus home, Out I go to fetch him up. We actually met the bus at the bus stop one the way home! Hardly home a half hour and out we go to take him to his study session. Back home. Pick boy up at 6pm and had dinner on the table at 6:30.

Just go go go today. The little one managed to get in an early nap from 9:30 to 11. And while she did that I wrapped a few more gifts. One of these days I have got to get around to finishing the ornaments I'm making!

It managed to make it up to 18 degrees today but, of course there's a but. We have 2-4 inches expected starting tonight and ending tomorrow afternoon(Friday) The the cold is supposed to move in and another round of snow sat night and nasty wind again this Sunday and Monday.

There was a comment a few days ago about how I would look back and remember the cold fondly when summer comes. Well to be honest here, I love the snow, the cold not so much! If we had 10 feet+ of snow and it got no colder then in the teens I would be in Hog Heaven!

And now... on with the show!

Tonight's freebie is what I call Double Portrait # 3

Thanks everyone! I appreciate it so much when you leave comments!

*Edit* 6:30am friday.... 2.8 inches fell over night, putting us at 14 inches for the season so far.

What a fridged day! -6 at the moment with a -57 windchill and steadily falling. The part of the storm that was carrying the snow missed us again. This has been a repeat of Novembers storm just a whole lot colder this time. The wind thankfully is supposed to die down tomorrow. I sure hope so or grocery day might get postponed.

I want to say Thank You to everyone who has left a comment. I think this is the most comments I have ever gotten in a 24 hour period of time! Wow! Thanks Everyone!

I love that we are all sharing our weather right now! Let's see here, maybe we can do something with it.... Maybe a special freebie for whoever gets the coldest between now and Saturday? You help me chose... Should it be warm related or cold related? Or maybe a template in your size of choice?

Wow! You guys are running this one! obviously the more comments, the more information = better freebie for you in the end!

So let's get those Ideas and Weather reports in! We will call this Challenge... Weather Report

I actually have another layout to share tonight! Here I once again used my Birthday Girl Kit and tonight's freebie Template # 142. The font is Lucida Calligraphy.

So how is your weekend going!
It was a bright, beautiful 38 degrees here! Although, we are supposed to be hit with blizzard conditions tomorrow (Sunday). Snow, wind, cold, the whole sha bang. After that just plain cold, lows at -30 to -40 and highs in the single digits. Brrr. Gonna be fun finishing up the Christmas shopping! NOT!!
Tonight I have a layout to share! This don't happen often enough. I make ton's of templates but only actually scrap a layout a couple times a month. Any who, in this layout I used my Birthday Girl Kit. The kit comes in pastel shades but I used the Hue/Saturation slider to mach the elements and ribbons to the colors in the cake and candles. This kit is only available until Midnight tonight. I also used tonight's Template #141.

Template # 140

Hi everyone! Are you ready for the weekend? I know I am!

We sold one of our properties last night! It's such a good feeling to have that stress off! I spent the morning doing paperwork and 6 months of book keeping. Like I said, time was gonna slap me in the face one of these days. But it hasn't been for Christmas yet! All the paperwork for the sale is complete and as soon as the check clears they take possession, Monday or Tuesday! We have been negotiating with these people for about a month now on the price and we finally reached an agreement.

Some of you have noticed the new blog header. I made it using my kit Blue Frost. To find out more about Blue Frost click Here. The font is my all time favorite: Freebootter script

You may also have noticed that Digifreebieslist has picked us up. You can find there blinky in the side bar of my blog. Thanks DigiFreebiesList!

Karianne left an awesome idea in the comments of yesterdays post. She says "I'll be using it as a K-12th grade school frame for my sons!" What a great idea Karianna! I hadn't thought of that. I actually had no idea when I created it what it would be used for. I just had squares on the brain!

Does anyone else have ideas of what my templates can be used for? Go ahead and leave a comment, you just might inspire someone!

I do have a question for you....

When you take a Landscape and turn it on end for a Portrait, Do we still call it a portrait here in scrap land? Just want to make sure I use the correct terms and labels for things.

Or do you not use them at all?

Thank you to everyone who has left comments! I read them multiple times through out the day. You lady's are the best!

It Snowed!
We awoke to two inches of pretty, fluffy, white stuff. It's the third time it's snowed but the first time to get out the shovels and plows. So this morning my boyfriend the little one and I cleared snow from all our property's. I loved every moment of it except the cold, it was only 10 degrees out. After we finished we decided to take the rest of the day off.

We went shopping.

I'm beginning to get sick of this shopping crap. (I better finish soon or I'll be a Grinch by Christmas!) We finished everything up for the kids except the big man still has to figure out the big gift for the boy. We also bought some stuff for the kids geared more for skiing and we got the boy new basketball shoes.

Grabbed a quick late lunch from KFC and came home.

While the boyfriend and the little one took a nap this afternoon, I stayed busy. I did all the prep work for this years ornament gifts I'm making. I also finished up the brag books I have been working on. I will be sending those to the printer this weekend and I pick up the prints tomorrow that I need for the ornaments. Let's see laundry also managed to get done and put away! Getting kids to put laundry away around here is extremely rare and it drives me nuts!

Oh, and the boy had his third session of tutoring tonight. He is loving it and comes out all smiles and giggles when I pick him up. (he giggles like a little girl, hehe) The boyfriend was just about to serve dinner as we walked in the door tonight. I absolutely love that, he cooks! (He actually used to cook professionally before we met.) I bake, but I don't cook. I screw things up in a slow cooker! Ask for a cake, brownies or cookies and I'm your girl!

OK, Enough you say? Well I agree! Let's get to the freebie!

But first I have a layout to share with all of you, I know, I can be a tease.
I created this layout using my new kit Birthday Girl and my new Template #138.
This was our youngest second birthday back in October. She was very gentle removing the wrapping paper since we always tell her she has to be nice to paper in general.(school papers, books, ect.) It took some encouraging but she got it down and was ripping like a pro after just a couple of gifts!

Next up we have tonight's Template

Template #135 and a QP

Good evening everyone. Hope you all are staying warm. It was 48 degrees here yesterday, but we received and inch and a half of snow over night, and today was just plain cold! We talked to my boyfriends mom today and our ski trip is planned for January 2! Now we just need a good snow pack at Winter Park. We also need to get the kids all geared up, We have cold weather gear but nothing for skiing!

Tonight we have a couple of layouts to share that were sent in by Michele. This first layout uses my Birthday Bash Page Kit. Here her son shows us his imagination in good use. I love to watch children play, don't you?
Next Michele used the Double Template from my Birthday Bash for this wonderful Snow Day. I have not seen that much snow in a looong time!
Michele has made her own papers for this layout and used an overlay by The Scrappin Cop on the background paper. I really like the effect the overlay gives the paper. Thank you Michele for sharing your layouts with us. It is always a joy to open my email and see I have a note or a layout from you.
Now on with the show...

We have two freebies for you tonight.
The first one is Template #135

**Edit 6:15pm** Linda, I did get your email! Thank You!
And for everyene else the challenges do run till midnight tonight!

I hope everyone had an enjoyable Thanksgiving. We have had a few interestingly long days around here. It all started Thanksgiving morning when I awoke to the sounds of the boy getting sicking all over the hallway. By evening he was feeling better and grandpa said he could lay on the couch at his place as easy as he could at home so all three kids went to grandpas for the night.

I swore I was not going out shopping Friday morning but my boyfriend wanted to go so I tagged along with him and got a real kick out of it. He has never been Black Friday shopping and had absolutely no clue. He was amazed at the number of people up and shopping at 5 am. I tried telling him, that if he was serious about the item he wanted he better be there a couple of hours early. Needless to say I got a good silent laugh out of it all. If I had laughed out loud I probably would have gotten left at the store. However we did come home with a couple of items. They weren't the Friday early specials but we got a few things.

About noon I went to pick up the younger two from grandpas. By dinner time the youngest was getting sick. So Friday night was spent sitting up with her. Saturday morning the oldest came down with it. And by 8 pm Saturday night I was sick in bed to.

It's an odd one to be thankful for this year, but I am thankful that we stayed home this year instead of traveling out of state to relatives.

I should be in bed, but I am fed up with laying down! So instead I'm curled up in my chair with a blanket watching a movie that I've seen 100 times. That's bad when the most comfortable place to sit in this house for me is my computer chair.

Hopefully I am on the mend, mostly just weak now. I hope to get back to the freebies on a regular basis again.

But with out further ado

If you sent in a layout for the birthday bash challenges I will try and get your download links out to you tonight. But just encase I fall asleep early, I promise I will have them out by noon Monday.

Also because of the lack of interest in the challenges, even after more time was given for those that requested it. No one has sent in a layout since the extra time was given. I highly doubt I will run anymore challenges.

At times I get so few thank yous/comments that I have been on the verge of stopping the freebies all together. So if you download Please, Please leave a comment!

So much for my child free shopping they decided to tag along. We managed to get the rest of the grocery shopping done but as we were checking out the little one let loose with another temper tantrum. So no other shopping was done.
We put up the tree today while the pies were baking. Half the strings of lights would not light. When I thought about how old the lights were it's no wonder they didn't want to work. There over 10 years old! So after supper tonight the oldest and I ran to the store to get more lights. I was going to get all new ones but after seeing the price I will wait till they go on clearance for the season then buy all new ones. Tonight we only bought enough to finish the tree this year. But when the lights come off, the old ones are going in the trash!

I turned the three kids loose with all the ornaments. They had a lot of fun sorting through them and picking out the ones they have made. Every time they found one I made as a child they had to ask how old I was when I made it. Thankfully the teachers over the years had dated most of them! Almost all our ornaments are hand made with the exception of some silver bead garlands. I also make ornaments every year for the adult family members. This year its a clear glass ball ornament with a color transparency family picture in it. When the lights of the tree shine through the ornament the picture lights up like stained glass.

I also "had" a mouse in the house. But that's another story in and of itself so I'll save it for another day. I've run on as it is, so how about we get to the freebie?

Just another couple of busy days here. The Sunday paper brought some very good news, so Santa will be bringing the iPod after all! Now Christmas shopping for the oldest is done! Tomorrow I will be finishing the shopping for the little one. It's a good thing were putting up the tree on Wednesday, I'm running out of hiding places! I hope the little one stays out of the presents this year, last year I had to re wrap a few.
Speaking of the little one, man she has been a pill the last couple of days. Temper tantrums, refusing to use the potty, although she was all but night time trained. Today she threw such a fit in the grocery store that I stoped shopping, payed for what I already had, and we came home. So tomorrow I get to finish the the grocery shopping too. Shopping tomorrow will be kid free. My boyfriend is taking the morning off and is going to stay home with her. Yippee, I'm running away for a couple of hours! It's gonna be fun but strange, I've only gone shopping with out her once or twice.

Other then that nothing much has been happening.

I would like to thank each and everyone of you who stop by. Those of you who leave comments, You RocK! Thank you all so very, very much!

Template and more

**Warning, Grab a drink and a snack, It's a long one!
Sorry all, I didn't make it back like I said I would. I actually fell asleep watching a movie with the younger two. As it turned out it was a good thing I did go to sleep early. It has been go, go ,go all day long. Other then meal times this is the first chance I have had to finally just sit and turn the TV on.

The boy had a basketball game at 9 am. They lost 28- 8 but the boys had fun and that's what matters. After the game I dropped all the kids at great grandpa's. They shoveled his driveway, Watched a movie and had lunch with him. I on the other hand came home, knocked down a few cobwebs, moved the TV and meet my boyfriend for lunch.

After I picked the girls up I was not satisfied with the furniture arrangement in the living room so I moved everything around, again! They always say "third times a charm", and well, I love it this time! After I finished with that I tackled all the wall pictures shelves ect. Everything came down and got cleaned. I then dug out my box's, yes box's, of extra home decor items. I have enough pictures, shelves and other items to decorate two family homes. Every couple of years or so I dig everything out and mix it up. I have three basic sets and an abundance of fill items.

The first design revolves around the wilderness and is focused on wolves. Design 2 is the sea and lighthouses. Number three, which is what is coming down, is the country. This one is based on old barns. The wolves are what I have decided to put up and display this time.

We have also decided to put up the tree this Wednesday. Yep Wednesday. A little bit early for us but the kids all have different things going on and the only days we will all be together to do it is Wednesday or Thanksgiving Day.

I have also been working like mad to get Christmas presents made. I have 4 brag books to do and 9 hybrid projects. I have roughly half of two of the brag books finished. We are having my family over for both Thanksgiving and Christmas. So I have all the baking and cooking to do, shopping, decorating, and pack for our trip. Busy Busy me. Oh well I seem to thrive when I have a load of stuff to do. I have a hard time sitting still. I actually have to watch a movie half a dozen times before I actually see the whole thing.

See I told you this was a long one! I'm still in go, go, go, mode and it's almost 1 am!

Template # 128

Good evening all!
Thank you all for your well wishes! Thankfully this one wasn't as bad as they can be.

I woke up this morning feeling great. So great that after I dropped the oldest off at school I decided to rearrange the living room and dinning room. I decided to use the buffet as a TV stand and make more room for the chairs around the table for the holidays. Well, I managed to get the buffet lodged in the doorway of the rooms! It was ether wait 7 hours for someone to come home and help or fight it myself. Of course as bull headed as I am I decided to fight it. It's now in the living room but the TV is still not on it. In the process of being to independent for my own good I managed to pull a muscle in my neck/shoulder area. All that took place before 9 am.

This evening the boy had an assessment at Sylvan learning center for help with his reading. I get there advice tomorrow morning at 9:30. While the boy was doing that, the oldest and I went to the mall. I average about 1 trip a year to the mall. I hate it, Crowds! 152 stores later I had purchased one pair of jeans and gotten a few Christmas ideas for the oldest. She wants an iPod Baaad! But unfortunately Santa is on a very short leash this year. The youngest has been eyeing the kitchen play sets in the stores but that might even be put off. The ones we can afford are just well, um, shall we say cheaply/poorly made. The one that we have been looking at is not in the budget. The boy that's easy. Any monster, car, truck, superhero, ect that's advertised on TV he says he wants.

Now let's get down to business.

I have received a few emails regarding the Birthday Challenges.
10 days to complete 4 challenges is not really enough time. With 2 days left I have only gotten one layout done myself. So I am going to extend the deadline to November 30th! 10 extra days! Then on Dec 1st we will start a fun new "Holidays Challenge"!

I would also like to say a Big Thank You to everyone who voted in my poll.
The single download wins!

Is there anything I can do to make the previews better for you all? I find them hard to make out on Digi Free some times. And here on the blog they seem to blur together in the previews. Your advice and comments are always welcome.

Now if you are still with me I finally have your freebie!

TGIF!

I am so glad it is Friday!
Mid day on Wednesday our Internet went poof on us. It took till Thursday evening to figure out the problem and they finally got it fixed this morning. I may not have been able to post but I did get a bit of stuff done. I put in some time on the nascar kit, and made a few more templates.
This morning when I was finally able to get online I found some very welcome surprises in my email!
Check these awesome layouts out!
This First one is for the "Birthday Bash Double Template Challenge". Man that's a long name for a challenge! I promise I'll keep the names simpler in the future.
This wonderful winter wonderland was sent in by Sharon Kay. The little penguin and igloo are so cute! Sounds like the two of you had fun that day! I hope you guys didn't catch a cold!

Kit: Snow Much Fun Blue Designer: Spellweaver

Sharon Kay also sent this layout in for Birthday Bash Challenge 2
I find this stunning! All I can say is Wow! and Thank You!
Kit: 9-11 Designer: Kimberly Cameron

Linda sent in this adorable layout of the Kitties. They are all so beautiful Linda. It looks like you got your hands full! I absolutely love the blk&wht one! That face just melts me! If I were to find another blk&wht I might be tempted to get a new cat. Although I'm not missing litter box duty right now. Give them all a big squeeze. I know that when the time is right a new animal friend will find it's way into our hearts.

Thanks for sharing Linda! This layout uses both the template for Birthday Bash Template Challenge 1 but also the Birthday Bash Page Kit. Two for one, Love those! It least I love it when I can double up on a challenge!

Michele sent in this layout of her daughter Brianna. Wow that's a long way up! She looks so small way up there! Congratulations Brianna!

Michele used the template for "Birthday Bash Template Challenge 1". She also made her own papers to coordinate with the pictures.

Veteran's Day

Hi everyone!
Thank you all so much for the birthday wishes! The day didn't start off to well but by mid afternoon all was well. It actually turned out to be the best birthday I have had in a few years. My son got me a locket that holds two pictures. The oldest girl gave me a (much needed) new pair of slippers. My Fiance and the youngest gave me a new external hard drive. Then when we dropped the kids off at grandpa's he gave gift cards to a couple of department stores. Yippee! I can get a good start on a new wardrobe. I went from a size 14 to a size 6 in the last 8 months. I have never worn a size 6 in my life!

We did go to the Texas Roadhouse for supper. The best steak around! I absolutely love the atmosphere! The only thing missing is a dance floor in the corner! hehe!

When we came home there was German chocolate cake with coconut and pecan frosting. Yummy!

Any how lets get on to our freebies!

Tonight's kit has a few more papers and elements in it then the others. It actually has 10 papers and I believe last count was 40 elements.

This kit comes as a special request tonight, for a group of guys who are serving our country in Iraq. Our thoughts and prayers are with you on this Veteran's Day and through out the year. May you come home soon.
