Post Card #1

Good morning!
Are we off to a good start today?
Been a pretty calm morning here. Thursdays usually are.
I talked to "the boys" former owner last night. He just wanted to check and make sure they were settling in ok. He is pretty torn up about giving up his pets but is also very happy that they found a nice loving home.
This morning I was playing with photoshop and created this little Post Card of "The Boys". Niko loves to hang out with people and can be demanding at times if he does not have your full attention. As you can see in the picture he joined me at the computer for a while last night. Perry likes to just hang out around or on the cage. He is a little more timid then Niko but he sure loves to look at himself in the mirror. As I type he is dancing in front of is favorite mirror and singing to himself.
I turned my above Postcard into a QP and a Template for you.
The size is 5.5 x 4.25 inches.
This size is approved by the US Postal service and you can fit 4 on a single page for printing!

Update and QP

Morning everyone!
I intended to post this last night but instead I stretched out on the couch and fell asleep watching the TV. I took our van in to my "Family" Mechanic to get a second opinion and estimate, other then just the dealership. I call him the Family mechanic because I have known him since I was a kid and he was just getting his start working for my Dad.
Anyway after he put it up on the lift and his employees stoped staring because I was in the shop beyond the employee only sign. Sorry, I helped build the shop, I will do as I please. Besides growing up in an auto shop you learn whats safe and not. There is good news and bad news.
Good news is only one set of ball joints actually are bad. the dealership was pushing to do all 4. But the bad is the dealer only wanted to fix part of my steering problem, Gordy discovered that it was the steering linkage not just the steering arm that is going bad. So it got cheaper with fixing the ball joints and more expensive on the steering problem. The most pressing problem is the left side ball joints, so much so that he says one good pot hole could take that side out! So Monday morning the van is going in to have those ball joints fixed! It will be a little less then 400 bucks. He says the steering would be good for a year or so and that as long as the ball joints are done it will be safe to take our trip! Yea!!!!! The steering will be fixed after we get back. He compared it to steering an old 1947 tractor! So that's the good the bad and the ugly!
---
Now how about something pretty!

Lori over at Scraps n Pieces put this wonderful QP together using one of my templates. Honestly I don't know for sure which one she used! It could be a couple of different ones depending on what you add or remove from the templates and if you rotated it or not.
Here are the links to a couple of possibilities!
Double Template #11 Side B with slight changes or
Double Template #19 Side A with pictures rotated.
That's the fun part of templates! You can change them to do what ever you want to!
Click on the Image to head over to Loris blog and grab the QP while your there you can find out all about the fabulous kit she used!
I'm heading over to Lori's at Scraps N Pieces to grab it now! I have a thing for chicken wire! I love it! Remind me sometime and I'll explain why!

Just a little foot note here. I am not associated with Scraps N pieces or any of the designers that Lori CT's for. I just feel very Honored that she chooses to use one of my templates from time to time while she is fulfilling her CT duties to others. Thank you Lori!
I'll be back later this evening with the Friday Double Template Freebie!

Good evening everyone!

Thank you all so much for the well wishes. The surgery went as smooth as could be expected. He is quite sore but in good spirits. If it had to happen we are grateful it happened when it did. His son is shipping out for his second tour in Iraq on the 17 of this month.

Template #178

Evening All!

We are having some nasty thunder storms with upwards of 70 mile an hour winds with tornado warnings all around us. Just a short, hop, skip and a jump away a blizzard is baring down on us. There expecting up to 3 feet or more of snow just a short distance from us. I sure hope that stalls out before it gets to us! After dinner tonight we ran around town to check on our rental property's and batten down the hatches before the storm hit. We were lucky the storm hit about 5 min after we got home!

There are a couple of things I would like to take some time and talk about this evening.

The first is the pngs that I have been including with the single templates. There doesn't seem to be any difference in the download numbers since I have started adding them. I'm half tempted to not do them anymore or just drop them down to once a week or so. They do take a bit of extra time that some days I just don't have. So if you want them to stay, Speak up NOW!

Next there will be No Template Participation Gift for April. Since people are so unwilling to share. I am tossing in the towel! I am also going to cut back on how often the freebies come. I'm tired of giving out 20 or more freebies each month and only getting 1 or 2 layouts in return. Sharing is a two way street and I have been giving it my all. All I have ever asked is for you my readers and followers to share a layout or 2 with me. Can you imagine if even 1/4 of you were to send in a layout how many that would be? I would love to show them off!

Also for you psp users Don't you think it would be wonderful if you could leave a Thank You for Michele? She was sick last week and this week her kids are on spring break yet she still manages to do the psp's for you all.

Tonight's freebie is

Sorry it's so brief tonight, but I have a raging headache, and I admit that I am no salesmen!
I have quit jobs before when they tried to convince me to be a sales person. I don't believe in talking someone in to buying something. If they are interested, yes I will talk to them and give them the info they ask about but I will not "push" a sale. I hate it when salesmen hang on you and try to do everything to make a sale.
With that being said I will wish you all a happy and safe week!
Happy downloading

Until next time...

Template #167

Hi ya folks!

How did the weekend treat you?

Not so bad around here. Re-arranged the living room once again. This time more so for my plants then any thing else. The kitchen window gets way to hot in the summer so I move them back into the east living room window. But they have grown so much, that the way they were last year didn't work this year! Yes I'm thinking spring already and we still have at least 4-5 more weeks of this icky winter left!

Have you seen these fantastic quick pages over at Scraps n Pieces? Both of these use my templates! Click the images to go to Scraps n Pieces to download and learn more about each of the kits used to create these lovely quick pages.
