Help Please and a Revived Freebie!

Evening Everyone!

Wow what a busy day! The kids all spent the night at Grandpa's last night so we took the opportunity to do the Birthday shopping for the little one bright and early this morning. This afternoon Grandpa and I took the kids out to a pick your own pumpkin patch! On the way home we stopped and let the kids run some more at the playground. Must have wore the two youngest one out though. They were both sound asleep before 8 tonight!

Tonight though I need your help and or advice.
I started the below layout(s) of our trip to the pumpkin patch this evening. The problem is neither version really sets right with me in my gut.
Something is wrong, but I can't put my finger on it.
Is it the frames/mats?
Which version is better? I'm leaning toward the first one.
Should the stitches be darker? Or should they just go?
Things I do like:
The template,
The layout of the photos,
the colors and or theme
Why the colors and theme you ask? Well this is a mixture of two of my new kits that are coming out soon. ;)
Any helpful advice would be very much appreciated, I'm about to toss the whole layout out!
I like it but I don't grrr....
Maybe a mat under the whole thing?
HELP!!!

Also I have been receiving a number of requests for the Fan Kits that I did last year. I have been sending the kits out on a per request basis since I took them down last... umm was it February?
Well that part don't matter, but this does!!
*
Starting tonight I will be re-releasing the fan kits!
One at a time and each one will only be available until I put the next one up.
I will post these for 2-3 days each then they will be gone!
I also hope that by doing this I get back into the "Groove" and get some new Fan Kits made for you all! I promised a Twins Fan Kit and a Yankees Fan Kit awhile back but just have not been able to settle down and do them.
IF I get back back into the "groove" the new ones will be available for 1 week. But don't worry I'll remind you on those kits when the time comes. Now if you want to put in a request we will re-release in that order. If I don't have one that's been requested I will add it to my to do list, but I make no promise at this time of when or if I will get to it.

My latest request came in from Amanda asking for the "Steeler's Fan" Kit so we will start off with that tonight. Since the Steeler's won the super bowl this past year I also made a Super Bowl Add-On for them.

I couldn't do this with out you!

Amanda ~ I will look into the Ohio State kit for you.

Until next time...
PS.. One last question.. How do you force a link to open in a new window? (other then right clicking and then open in new window) Is there an adjustment to the code or something? For example my layouts for this post.

I love your layouts and wouldn't change a thing. My preference is the fist one - I like all the frame to be the same and the stitching is great!

Looking forward to the Yankees kit :)

My 2 cents worth....Pick #1 and add a texture over the back ground paper. Then add some of the leaves on TOP of your title also and BAM! You are done! I had a freebie texture on my blog awhile back but would be happy to send you another one as a thank you for all of your freebies!

How fun that you're bringing back the fan kits! I almost forgot that you were going to do the Twins/Yankees for me! Thanks for remembering! Take your time!

I agree with what the others said, the background paper needs texture, but other than that, it's perfect!

I like #1, but I like paper with a texture or grunge or some sort of design on it. For me plain paper just doesn't do it.

I love the stitched frames and the wheel with the hay.

Thank you for all you freebies, you help those of us who can't do what you do.
