Scary night

We had a very scary moment tonight at Great Grandpa's house. The kids and I went over after supper to help plant his garden. I was on my hands and knees planting tomatoes with Grandpa handing them to me. Middle child is playing on the swing set and the oldest (almost 14) is playing ball with the youngest(19 months). All is well, until the oldest comes over and asks Grandpa a question and the next thing I know she screams the youngest name and takes off across the yard. I look up to see my youngest standing in the middle of the fish pond on the other side of the yard! She was sopping wet from head to toe, all except the very crown of her head. Coughing and sputtering but smiling through it all! My oldest grabbed her out of the pond and I ran her to the house to get her out of the smelly wet clothes, the whole time I was undressing her she was repeating " I fine, I fine. But after all was said and done, everything is fine. I am so Thankful it all turned out OK and maybe a few lessons were learned by everyone in the family. But because everything is right in the world at this very moment, get ready for some downloading there are a few extra tonight!

I was directed to your site through DigiFree and read your Scary Night! Yikes, these little ones are so fast. I am glad it was a happy ending. I am sure your oldest is more traumatized than your youngest. But what a scary moment and something later the youngest will want told and retold. Thanks for sharing your talents and your story.

Can I say how jealous I am that you got to go to Talladega. It is a dream of mine to go. I live in Washington state so no Sprint cup here. I have only been to Chicagoland. Hope you had a blast.
