Hi All!
I finally got through the pictures I took on this trip, tons of scenic views! Please bear with me and I promise no more pictures of the two trips unless there in a layout. I'm sorry if any of them look blurred. When your driving and snapping pictures you don't aim and focus the camera, you point and shoot and hope you got it in the frame! I rarely know how the pictures turn out till after I get home, and I must admit there were some of just plain blue sky cause the camera was aimed to high and a lot of blurry ones!
Anyways,
Don't remember what state this was but I really liked all the shades of green.
Open range land
At first I was really bummed out that this was all we could see of the Badlands of South Dakota. Until I remembered that Interstate 90 runs just north of the badlands and you have to take the scenic route to see it. No time for that on this trip unfortunately.
Here is another one of those no time to stop ones. Crazy Horse. I swear we will take a trip to the Black Hills some time. I have wanted to do it for a long time. Sick of passing through but never stopping to check it all out. Ton's of things to do.
This is what we arrived to at 10:30 at night. Storms! That's lightning in the distance. Putting up the tent was so much fun! Not!
The next morning we got up early and checked every thing out in the day light. This is the view coming in to the campground with the lake in the back ground.

Our girls playing on the beach. It was a pretty small beach this year. Or so we were told. About 50 feet of beach was under water. They said most of the campspots that our large group was in were under water last year! I loved all the sand but the cotten wood trees were in full seed mode and every one looked like a human Q-Tip!
The little one has a wet suit with a life vest built right in to it!
Grandma and Grandpa with our little one.
The little one just could not wait till we launched the skies.
As you can tell in the above picture that we did not camp down in the trees with the main group. After the first night we moved up the hill to the east side of the trees. There was still some cotten flying but it was 1/100th of what it was down in the trees!
Finally, on the way home we scared this guy up out of the ditch. Been about 20 years since I last saw a prong horn antelope, The kids have only ever seen them in zoo's.

And of course I can't make you sit through all that with out giving you a freebie. This time I thought I'd try my hand at a piece of WordArt. I saw this on a shirt at a place we stopped at for fuel. It's so true of our little one!
