Man, what a day!

I have never been more disorganized for a trip in my life. I totally spaced the fact that we would be gone over memorial day. So today we meet with Grandpa and went out to the cemetery to put flowers on Grandma's grave. And also on her folks spot (my Great Grandparents). Grandma always gets Brilliant fire red geraniums. My Great Grandparents also get red geraniums but a slightly less intense red. We also went to the grocery store, had the ears lowered on the boy and got the oil in our van changed and ready for the trip. We also ran over and visited with my significant others uncle for a bit after dinner tonight. This is the first time I have had to finally sit down. But I have us about 90% packed and all that's left is bathroom things, the cooler and loading it all in the van. What a day....

How is everyone tonight?
Myself, well I'm getting a bit panicky. For trips that I have all planed out I am normally packed and ready to go 2 to 3 days before hand. Not this time around! I haven't done a darn thing. Instead we have been hanging out at the parks and having movie nights. So tomorrow is going to be really really busy since we are leaving on Friday! Good evening everyone!

Before we get to the freebies I wanted to let you all know that next week I will not be here. We are off to Kansas City and then to Denver. Business meetings with some family time built around them. We will be going to the Denver Zoo and to the amusement parks while we are gone. Work for 3 days and vacation for 5 with 2-3 days of driving mixed in. So it will be a bit more then a week before we get back. The total mileage, with out any side adventures is almost 2500 miles, Oh the cost of gas! So what am I getting at you ask? We had a relaxing day at home today. It was a productive day for me thou I made a few more Templates, after last night I had to! I was so grateful that she was OK that I gave you all the templates I had made and waiting to be posted. I like to try and have a few extra made and ready for those days I just don't have any computer time.

I would also like to say Thank You to everyone who has left comments both on the freebies and the pond incident. (yesterdays post)

My middle child our boy also had a run in with the pond when he was about 22 months old. He will be 8 next month. He drove his big sisters Battery Powered Barbie Jeep into the pond. Thankfully the pond was dry then because he stood the Jeep on it's nose! He was out in the yard with his dad when that happened, they came in and told me about it so I went out and took a few pictures of the jeep in the pond. Umm, I 'll have to see if I can find those.

Scary night

We had a very scary moment tonight at Great Grandpa's house. The kids and I went over after supper to help plant his garden. I was on my hands and knees planting tomatoes with Grandpa handing them to me. Middle child is playing on the swing set and the oldest (almost 14) is playing ball with the youngest(19 months). All is well, until the oldest comes over and asks Grandpa a question and the next thing I know she screams the youngest name and takes off across the yard. I look up to see my youngest standing in the middle of the fish pond on the other side of the yard! She was sopping wet from head to toe, all except the very crown of her head. Coughing and sputtering but smiling through it all! My oldest grabbed her out of the pond and I ran her to the house to get her out of the smelly wet clothes, the whole time I was undressing her she was repeating " I fine, I fine. But after all was said and done, everything is fine. I am so Thankful it all turned out OK and maybe a few lessons were learned by everyone in the family. But because everything is right in the world at this very moment, get ready for some downloading there are a few extra tonight!
