Project 365 Week 42 Template ~ Freebie

Good Evening or Morning depending on how you want to look at it!

It's very very early morning here. Sorry I don't have the psp Images for you tonight. You will need to pop over to Michele's Blog in a day or two to pick those up. I totally spaced it being Wednesday night. The kids all went back to school after a long weekend and my brain is convinced it's only Monday! I kind of wish it still was Monday. Monday was a gorgeous fall day! The last two have been damp and almost cold. Right now it's only 37 degrees F outside but I still have the windows open!

You know for it only being one a.m. I am wound up and ready to start my day! I actually had a migraine this afternoon and by dinner time I was out cold. The boyfriend made dinner for the kids and let me sleep it off. But after a 7 hour nap I'm wide awake! That's more sleep then I get in any given night! I only average about 5 normally. See I really do need to take better care of myself. Which is what part of my break is about.

While I have been up tonight I spent a little bit of time on my "Fall Adventures" LO.
I think it's the best version so far, shadow wise that is.

Truly I really do need your help!

I harvested these from the garden today. I'm not sure what to do with them though. I'm used to the acorn and butternut squash.

I got the dirt work done this morning at grandpa's and now it's off to mow lawns then back to work at his place this evening. I did finish siding the east gable last Saturday. Not sure if I had told you all that yet. More or less it's just a lot of little busy work putting the finishing touches on it now.

Grandpa is taking the boy bike shopping this afternoon while I mow. Someone stole his fancy mongoose stunt bike last spring and he has been with out a bike all summer. Maybe now he will remember to use the bike lock!

Ravens Fans....Help Please

Ok I know this is going to sound dumb..... Just remember I'm not a football follower..
Exactly what color is the Ravens? The blue/purple is what I'm referring to. On the Ravens web site half the stuff looks purple and the other half looks blue but the website is done in purples...
I'm leaning towards the purples...

U of North Carolina Fan Kit Freebie

Oh what a month! Are you ready for the last week of February? I know I am! I can't wait for march to come and we start warming up and finally heading toward spring!
You folks must be having just as busy a month as I have been having! Comments are down and reader submitted Layouts are few and far between this month. With this posting I have given out just as many freebies as January and we still have a week to go with a guarantee of two more freebies yet to come (with maybe a fan kit or two mixed in)!

I know I have not been chatty or anything this month. Just very busy cranking out the kits! I've done 6 private ones plus everything you have been getting on the blog. There's been lots of late, late nights and a lot of coffee drinking! I still need to scrap my photos from last summer at the Rockies game.

Activities with the kids will finally slow down come March. The boys last Basketball game is the first week of march and then it will be all music performances and practices. Speaking of music, I got a bit of sticker shock over the weekend. The boy had his D string break on his Cello last week so we went to get a new one Saturday. That one string cost more then a whole set does for a violin! I knew it would be more then a single violin string but I had no idea it would be that much more! He wants to switch to band next year, wonder what those repair bills etc are going to cost? He has no idea which instrument he wants to play, and I have no idea of how to go about helping him decide. How did you help your kids decide what instrument they were going to play, or did they just know what they wanted to play?

Yesterday the oldest more or less locked herself in the bathroom for the day. Doing and redoing her hair for the winter formal dance last night. Her and three of her girlfriends all went together.

Happy Monday Everyone!
I hope the start of a new week finds you all well.
The little one is finally back to being herself and will be going back to school tomorrow. On the other hand the boy came down with it last night. Ugg!
I'm finally starting to snap out of it ( I think). I told myself this morning to take a shower put on some nice clothes and due my make-up. At worst I at least dressed as to how I wanted to feel verses the bum from the last couple of days. It seems to have worked. I managed to make dinner tonight instead of ordering pizza yet again and I also got the dishes done afterward! Ohh the pizza fiasco of Saturday night! It took them over TWO hours to deliver our pizza! I was sick and I was ticked off! NOT a good combination! When it finally showed up it was Fresh, Hot and it was Free! The next night they had it here in less then 20 minutes even after they told me on the phone it was gonna be 45 minutes.

I have a question for you tonight.

Over the last few days I have received a few emails from people asking to use my things in their "groups". I can't give this question an honest answer since I don't know what these "groups" are. I have never participated or belonged to a "group".

Help Please and a Revived Freebie!

Evening Everyone!

Wow what a busy day! The kids all spent the night at Grandpa's last night so we took the opportunity to do the Birthday shopping for the little one bright and early this morning. This afternoon Grandpa and I took the kids out to a pick your own pumpkin patch! On the way home we stopped and let the kids run some more at the playground. Must have wore the two youngest one out though. They were both sound asleep before 8 tonight!

Tonight though I need your help and or advice.

I started the below layout(s) of our trip to the pumpkin patch this evening. The problem is neither version really sets right with me in my gut.

Something is wrong, but I can't put my finger on it.

Is it the frames/mats?

Which version is better? I'm leaning toward the first one.

Should the stitches be darker? Or should they just go?

Things I do like:

The template,

The layout of the photos,

the colors and or theme

Why the colors and theme you ask? Well this is a mixture of two of my new kits that are coming out soon. ;)

Any helpful advice would be very much appreciated, I'm about to toss the whole layout out!

I like it but I don't grrr....

Maybe a mat under the whole thing?

HELP!!!

Also I have been receiving a number of requests for the Fan Kits that I did last year. I have been sending the kits out on a per request basis since I took them down last... umm was it February?

Well that part don't matter, but this does!!

I also hope that by doing this I get back into the "Groove" and get some new Fan Kits made for you all! I promised a Twins Fan Kit and a Yankees Fan Kit awhile back but just have not been able to settle down and do them.

IF I get back back into the "groove" the new ones will be available for 1 week. But don't worry I'll remind you on those kits when the time comes. If I don't have one that's been requested I will add it to my to do list, but I make no promise at this time of when or if I will get to it.

Hi All!

So how was your weekend? Mine must not have been to bad cause I can't remember for the life of me what we did! I know I finished a kit, almost finished another and then started another new one late last night! I do know that the release date for "Afternoon Delight" is October 1st. The other ones I'm not sure of yet. So keep your eyes open for those new things!

Oh I remember what I did on Saturday, I transferred all my level 50 characters to the brand new server in DAoC. I guess between working on the Kits and playing DAoC (also known as Camelot), that was pretty much my weekend.

Today we were all up and out of the house by 7 am. I needed to run some errands before I dropped our van off at the local Ford dealership. Yep I finally got the steering issues fixed! Ford is not my first choice but my family mechanic is still in, in patient rehabilitation after his motorcycle accident last May. He may never open his shop again or run his farm. Very sad deal there, all I can say is PLEASE WEAR A HELMET!

We picked up the van after dinner tonight. Still has some steering issues, but it is at least 75% better then it was. Instead of making a 90 degree right turn when ever you let go of the steering wheel it now only makes a lane change! Yippie! I can deal with that! But the front tires are so bad from the steering being out of whack that we need new tires, so here's hoping that, that will solve the rest of the issues.

I also thought I was done canning tomatoes for the year. But Grandpa surprised me and brought over another bushel of them! I'm thinking that this year the in laws (who's garden failed this year) will be getting home canned tomatoes for part of there Christmas gift. Think I'm also going to do small calenders about the size of a 5x7 as gifts. I found a local Mom and Pop print shop that will print and bind them for me for a steal.

Dang when I sat down to post I had no clue what to blog about!

Now it's turned in to blaa blaa blaa.

Grab a cold one folks, it's a long one!

Today has been a blur to me! We awoke to rain which meant I had to drive the oldest to school. after I got home and had gotten the little one settled into her breakfast I had the chance to chat with Simona for awhile. Then it was a quick shower and back out the door to hunt down the File folder thingy for the oldest. I found one! We also purchased the new laptop for my boyfriend. So this afternoon was spent installing Vista then VMware and finally Linux. The VMware and Linux is for his schooling. He even had to document every step of the installations for his class. I can't wait to see how it handles DAoC, that will be the true test! With all that going on I was not able to get the previews for tonight made as early as I had wanted to. Then just as I was finally getting ready to sit down and post he comes to me and asks me to print out all his documentation. Ugg. But now it's done and everyone has gone to bed or is reading in there rooms and I can finally get this post up and running!

Good Evening Everyone!
We took it pretty easy over the weekend. Couldn't do much outside since it decided to switch from the hottest week of the year to cold and rainy over night on Friday night. But on Saturday we did have a visitor come a calling. Tia Mona stopped by to show us one of the new additions to there family. There Champion bull dog had puppies! She had 5 but only three have survived thus far. She does not seem to have a very motherly instinct to her. They have lost 2 pups due to her sitting on them. So she is no longer allowed in with the pups with out supervision and then only to nurse and clean them. Tia Mona only brought one over quick to show the kids. Her timing could not have been any better. Everyone was actually home and my Grandfather happened to be here also so he got to see the puppy and reminisce for a bit to.

Of course the kids all had to pipe in with the obligatory "Can we keep him???" They already knew the answer but they just had to ask! Other then the "he is to young" and the "we don't have the time/space/money" there is the fact that the breed is just not for me. I don't want nothing to do with the possible respiratory problems, not to mention the snotting and snorting. Yuk!

But all puppies are cute!

Especially when they still don't have there eyes open!

Tonight I have a couple of layouts to share with you. Both of these I have done. The first is from our trip to Denver back in May.

Both layouts use tonight's Freebie Template #201.

As my regular readers may notice I'm trying something new with these layouts. Extractions! I am horrible at them! So practice, practice, practice!

In this first one I extracted the penguin out of one of our photos, duplicated it and blended them into the water. Not only to help hide how bad the extraction was but to try and give it the under water appearance.

This is one I made for my dear friend Simona. This is Mathilda she belongs to Simona's brother and his girlfriend.

Here I tried to make the kittens ear pop up over the frame although the actual picture is under the frame. I'm not sure if I did it correctly but for a first try not to bad. My shadowing around the ear leaves a lot to be desired though. Does anyone have any good pointers?

Hi Everyone!
Sorry I have not had much to say and that I have not been showing the layouts I have received yet this month. We have been so busy this month and then on Tuesday afternoon I was hit with one of my nasty migraines. Thankfully I only get them this bad once or twice a year. Three days and counting, this one is a nasty devil!

Also the mojo has flown the coop! I have not even started scrapping our vacation pictures and next week we are going on a 5 day camping trip and will be coming home on fathers day.

So my request tonight is for information on some good kits that you may have seen out and about in scrap land. Looking for ones that will work for the mountain pictures as well as the zoo and park.

Project 365 Week 13 and News!

Evening everyone! First off I'd like to say if I sound crabby or come across as crabby in this post, please ignore it I'm not in a bad mood I'm just fighting a migraine that I have had since Monday. Tuesday it had me flat out in bed and that's were I feel I should be today but life goes on and you push yourself through the pain, right? This one has been the worst I have had in a very long time. The prescription that I have is not even taking the edge off it today.

Now how about we get on to some fun things! I have received a few emails with layouts attached and I will display some of those here in no special order. So if you are looking for your LO's here I will be featuring each person on a different day.

I am looking for 2 or so people who would be willing to do Layouts for the Month of April. I know this is short notice and hopefully we will get some responses. I have 4 kits all do out in April and one yet this month!

I am asking for 2 layouts per large kit and 1 layout per small kit. (that's 6 layouts for April)

You would post the layout on your blog if you have one and to any gallery(s) that you choose. I would also post it on my blog. Not only am I looking for a little advertising but I am more interested in showing people the versatility of the kits.

I would send you the kit about a week early. and the layout(s) are do in to me the day before the kit release. (Kit releases always fall on Sundays)

Evening All!

We are having some nasty thunder storms with upwards of 70 mile an hour winds with tornado warnings all around us. Just a short, hop, skip and a jump away a blizzard is baring down on us. There expecting up to 3 feet or more of snow just a short distance from us. I sure hope that stalls out before it gets to us! After dinner tonight we ran around town to check on our rental property's and batten down the hatches before the storm hit. We were lucky the storm hit about 5 min after we got home!

There are a couple of things I would like to take some time and talk about this evening.

The first is the pngs that I have been including with the single templates. There doesn't seem to be any difference in the download numbers since I have started adding them. I'm half tempted to not do them anymore or just drop them down to once a week or so. They do take a bit of extra time that some days I just don't have. So if you want them to stay, Speak up NOW!

Next there will be No Template Participation Gift for April. Since people are so unwilling to share. I am tossing in the towel! I am also going to cut back on how often the freebies come. I'm tired of giving out 20 or more freebies each month and only getting 1 or 2 layouts in return. Sharing is a two way street and I have been giving it my all.
