As for my day. It was jam packed full.

Although I do have one funny little story to tell.

While shopping at Walmart (don't get me started on Walmart) an older gentlemen shopping alone stoped to say hi to our little one. (This I am used to with the older folks in our town.) After saying hi to her and asking her, her age, he turned to me and asked if I minded if he showed me a picture of his pride and joy (This I'm not used to). Being nice I said sure (what's a few moments spent chatting). He dug through his wallet and pulled out an old tattered photo that was folded in half. He handed this to me. I found my self looking at a picture of a bottle of "Pride" dish soap and "Joy" dish soap! Get it! Pride and Joy! Even the little one got part of the joke. When she saw the picture she said "Hay! that's not kids that's soap!" I love it when the older generations have such a wonderful sense of humer! We chatted for a bit longer and then went about our merry ways.

Think I will be calling it an early night tonight. My body is still kicking me back for staying up till 3am on Saturday morning and then not going to bed at all on Saturday night. My body has been reminding me since I rolled out of bed this morning that I'm not 20 anymore. So with that I will say good night.

Got Tomatoes?

Good Morning Everyone!

Thank you all for your comments and your well wishes for "the boy". Friday morning he was back to normal and even got himself up early to do his homework before school! I should have gotten a picture, that's a first around here!

The kids all stayed at Grandpa's Friday night and our date was a good one. We picked up Ribeye Steak dinners complete with loaded mashed potatoes and corn on the cob from Chilli's and brought them home to dine. After dinner we watched a bit of TV then headed out for ice cream. We called it an early evening and after he went to bed I stayed up and played DAoC till 3 am!

Today I set about canning tomatoes! I started shortly after noon and just pulled the last jars out of the cooker! While I waited for them I sat down and scraped the following layout. Don't let the pictures deceive you. This was only about a 10th of how many I actually did today. After dinner tonight the girls and I had to run and get more jars! If this keeps up I will be canning twice a week and we only have 6 plants! We also have 1 cherry tomato plant and 1 grape tomato plant.

Double Template #43

Evening Everyone!
Hope you all have had a good week. I know the past week has been a busy one for me!

I sent out all the challenge links this afternoon. If you did not get yours please let me know. The links will be active until Sunday night.

Tonight I have a couple of great layouts that came in during the challenges. I also have the Friday Double Template for you tonight. I know, it's Thursday not Friday! But Friday makes 7 years that my boyfriend and I have been together so I'm taking the night off and the weekend too!

I just hope our plans don't have to be postponed. When the boy got off the bus today he was in tears saying that his stomach hurt and that he was sleepy. I've checked his temperature half a dozen times this evening and no temp! It's not a running to the bathroom type of sick just a hurt. I asked if he had gotten hit while playing or anything and he said no but that it started hurting before lunch at school. Poor kid suffered it out all afternoon and never said a thing to his teacher. He said the bus ride made it feel the worst. The boy ended up falling asleep about a half hour after he got home and slept till 7. Then he tried to eat but couldn't bring himself to do it. He went back to bed and we never even attempted to do the homework. I wouldn't normally worry but this kid never ever gets sick! So I guess we will just have to see what morning brings.

Tonight I have a wonderful layout to share with you all that Robin sent in to us.

When I was a child there was an old floor mill very similar to this, just down the road from us.

Here Robin used Template #206 and a wonderful kit that I have used on more then one occasion called" Comfort" by Stacy's Scraps. Check it out I' know you'll love it too!

Our next layout comes to us from Michele. Here she scrapped her dad spending time out in the canoe during there last camping trip. Never tried it but if given the opportunity I wouldn't pass it up.
