What a day!

A historic day for America! and the world as a whole depending on how you look at it all. No I'm not going to talk politics here. But while I watched it all on TV I did give the blog a make over. What do you all think of the new look? The paper I used is from a kit that I started a few months ago but never finished.

The day started off really early around here. The little one decided that we all needed to be up at 4am! Ack! Then the oldest had to be to school early for orchestra rehearsal. After getting back home the little one and I sat down and watched the 147 million dollar show. In between the events I figured out how to do the blog over and then this afternoon I worked on the new kit that my dear friend Michele and I have in the works for you all. The oldest had rehearsal again after school and since it was also concert night the instructor treated all the orchestra and band students to a big pizza party. The boy had his tutoring from 4 till 6 and then the concert started at 7pm. We finally got home at 9 pm. Can you image being at school from 7 am till almost 9 pm?

At the end of February they are also putting on a musical, The Wizard of Oz. All most all of February will have 3 hour rehearsals after school and on one of the Saturdays they will have practice from 9am until 5pm. They have 9 performances of the musical scheduled all in one week!

After we got home I let the dog out who promptly decided to fall down the deck steps. Hurt his left rear leg pretty bad. He did make it back up the steps to come in but he is limping pretty bad and hardly puts any weight on the leg. He can use it but we will have to watch him closely. He is a 13 year old Shitzu. Not my dog so I don't get to make the decisions regarding him. When he was a pup he fell down the stairs and pinched a nerve in his back. He could not walk for almost two weeks and he had to take all sorts of meds. He has had back and rear leg trouble ever since then.

Ok, enough of the blabbing and ranting, and since you have so patiently put up with it here is a new template for you all.

I love your new look! I love kits with nighttime stars in them. I wish I knew how to make a really night glowing star to use in layouts.

While I am from Canada, I too watched the proceedings all day. There definitely seemed to be a feeling of hope and peace throughout it all. I pray this is the direction we all will go.

I remember when my children were in school musicals. I loved them all. A lot of work but well worth it and it will be something they will always remember.

Thanks for a new template too!

Thanks for the template!

I sat in meetings yesterday and listened to leading economists (one a former vp at the Federal Reserve bank) talk about how bad this recession is, and it's not getting better quickly. I hope they were not correct, but the entire world is in this!
